What a day at the SAVA Residential Surveying Expo!
Yesterday was the first time we properly put MyReport® in front of the profession at this scale, and the response genuinely exceeded our expectations.
Between the two of us, the demonstrations were almost nonstop. We had to skip lunch and we came away with 21 demos booked, and at several points we simply could not accommodate everyone who wanted to see the platform!
But the most valuable part was not the numbers. It was the conversations.
Having worked as a residential surveyor for over a decade, I thoroughly enjoyed the open and honest discussions with fellow surveyors. There was a real mutual understanding of the challenges our profession faces, what is still missing, and how technology can help without losing the human judgement and professional expertise that surveying depends upon.
That is exactly what we have spent nearly three years trying to achieve with MyReport®.
Seeing the genuine excitement, the firm handshakes and, sometimes, the sheer surprise at what we had built was incredibly rewarding. For the first time, we were able to stand face to face with fellow professionals and see their reaction to what we have been building.
Yesterday made us realise that we may have built something genuinely special.
But this is only the beginning. There is much more to do.
It was also a real pleasure to catch up with old colleagues, familiar faces and fellow exhibitors, many of whom I had not seen for some time.
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared their thoughts and booked a demonstration.
